Effortlessly; Graceful; Classy; Poignantly; Captivating; Timeless... First Lady of Song, Ella Fitzgerald.

Grrrr. Who gave this video less than 5 stars? The performance was as close to perfect as it gets. The woman could sing anything...her voice was so versatile and agile, it was not bound by any rules but her own choice of song.

This would be a great song for an effeminate man to cover in order to really hit home on the song's message for a modern day audience.

I first heard this recording on the radio while driving. I had to pull over and just listen, it was so overwhelming. I think an argument could be made that this is as great as any performance Ella ever did, and Johnny Hodges is truly sublime. Absolutely stunning, and I can't believe our luck that it was filmed as well. Thank you posting it.
