Ethiopian celebrates 10th year flight anniversary to DC

Ethiopian Airlines celebrated its 10th year flight anniversary to Washington DC at a dinner reception in Crystal City, Virginia. Guests included some African Ambassadors, top Travel Agents selling African destinations, Airport Authorities and other representatives from various organizations and business firms. The reception was addressed by the COO of Ethiopian Airlines, Mr. Tewolde and the Regional Director for North America, Mr. Gobena. Mr. Joseph Yohannes, former ET Executive officer, was recognized for initiating and executing the first operation to the US. Mr. Kassa Maru, Chairman of AGS was recognized as the first 'Cloud Nine' paying passenger on the first flight to the US. Annabelle, who has served the Airline in New York and now in Washington for over 23 years, was greeted with standing ovation when she received her award from the COO. Top selling Agents were awarded and free airline tickets worth over $10,000 dollars were awarded to raffle winning guests.
