More Than Just Friends[10] PART ONE

Chapter 10 The next morning everyone woke up early. Nick and his brothers were finishing up the last minute planning for McKenzie's birthday, and McKenzie and her sisters were waking up (mostly because Cassie wouldn't let them sleep) to open presents, and other birthday things. She only got the family's present, the big one from her parents and Cassie. Cassie: C'mon Kenzi, open it! You'll love it, hurry! McKenzie: Okay, okay, hold on. Pulling off the big bow and ribbons and the top from the box she saw a passport. McKenzie: Mom, Dad? What's the passport for? Momma Dolan: Keep looking, you'll see. She pulled off the layer of tissue paper under the passport and saw tickets. Airline tickets, and there were 6. A Vacation, but to where? McKenzie: Ohmygosh! Tickets! For a trip to Hawaii!! Mom, Dad, Thank you so much!! When are we going?! Papa Dolan: Who said anything about we? Those aren't for us. They're for you, and your sisters... Momma Dolan:...and those Jonas boys. We cleared it with Kevin and Denise. Dolan Sisters: OH MY GOD THANKS SO MUCH! McKenzie: But wait, why the passport? Momma Dolan: Because soon enough you might need them to travel to farther away states. McKenzie: Okay! Well thanks again you really are the best parents ever! I love you so much. The girls left and went up to their rooms. When McKenzie called Nick to tell him the awesome news, he invited her over to the house. So she took Kacy and Deena with her. McKenzie: So how excited are you guys to be going to Hawaii?! Nick: Amazed. Joe: Psyched. Kevin: Stoked. (AN: I kinda have writer's block right now so Imma skip ahead a little bit.) McKenzie: Okay, I gotta go get ready for dinner tonight. Nick, when are you picking me up? Nick: Oh, um, like 6:15-ish. We have reservations at 7. See you soon. *Kisses her* McKenzie: Okay bye. Kacy: Have fun tonight Kenzi! Joe: Yeah, don't get in to much trouble. Kevin: See you later, have fun! Deena: Okay well you ready to go then, I'll take you home. McKenzie: Yeah And they leave and go back home. McKenzie and Deena run upstairs and start getting Kenzi ready for her amazing date with Nick. After they're done she looks simply beautiful. Kenzi is wearing the beautiful dress that Nick saw (the white and gold strapless) with her hair in a half ponytail with curls on the bottom half and outside of the ponytail. She's wearing make-up but only a little, no eyeshadow or anything. Just like mascara and eyeliner, but not too dark. She's also wearing gold strappy heels. Deena heads back over to the Jonas house. McKenzie is so nervous, she doesn't know what to expect with this dinner. All of a sudden the doorbell rings. Nick: Hey -- Oh my god...You're beautiful. McKenzie: Thanks, now close you're mouth. Where is the car...I don't see Kevin's. Nick: Oh no we're in a limo. I thought I would make this extra special. McKenzie: Aww, thank you. Let's go, I'm getting hungry. The limo is amazing, and they don't talk much. Nick is just staring at Kenzi, she's just so beautiful tonight. And McKenzie is looking at Nick, he looks rather handsome. Randomly it seems Nick kisses her, passionately. She kisses back, running her hands through his hair while his hands are on her waist. They barely say another word the whole car ride to dinner. They were a little busy. ;D At Dinner... Nick: *To the Hostess* Hello. We have a reservation. Hostess: Under what name? Nick: "Nicholas Jonas" Hostess: Okay, Right this way. Nick then takes McKenzie by the arm and they follow behind the hostess to their table. McKenzie: Oh. My. God. This is so wonderful, thank you Nick! She was looking at a table with two places to eat. There was a single rose placed on her plate, and a bouquet placed on the table. There was a little rectangular envelope placed on the table with a bow on top, obviously a card. Nick: You're welcome, but really it was no problem. I'd do anything for you. McKenzie: *So overwhelmed she felt like she was going to cry* I love it! She kisses him and then they sit down. His knee is touching hers the whole time underneath the table, and they keep giggling about it all night. They hold hands above the table. Why hide it? They felt like they wanted to show the world who they were, and what they felt for each other. Nick would definitely have his opportunity for that later, and he knew it. Over dinner they talked about everything, and they couldn't stop laughing. Everyone at the restaurant could tell that they were in love; even if they hadn't heard the two say it. It was getting close to 9 o'clock which was when they needed to leave for everything to run smoothly. Nick: We should get going, it's getting pretty late. McKenzie: Sure, but I don't want this night to end. You should come over and hang out for a while tonight. Nick: Sounds good, let me get the check.
